Main Street Station, 16280 Main Street
Russian River

Price: $2
"The duo, formerly Speakeasy Swing [now a quartet] brings the clarinet back to jazz where it was once the premier instrument, and Colman's guitar provides a rich, light harmony that blends beautifully with the clarinet's sound. Add Colman's rich baritone vocals, and you have a mellow blend for standard tunes that range from the obscure 'Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams' to the more familiar 'Cabaret.'" (WineCountry.com) Colman has been playing in local cabarets for years and has a devoted following as a solo guitar/vocal blues act. Ken has been playing clarinet for years in northern California symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles, as well as clarinet and sax in theater pit orchestras and in City Swing, a 40s big band based in San Francisco. Rounding out the group are Carol Shumate's interpretive(bass) and Al Stern(drums). They are open for parties, weddings, bar mitzvahs, and other events. Contact Ken at 707-869-8107 or knwrd@yahoo.com
